"What a magnificent recording this is! For those who lean more toward classical fare, this is a recording not to be missed. Three very gifted performers team to form the Jerusalem Lyric Trio based in Israel. Flutist Wendy Eisler-Kashy is originally from California. After earning her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, she was invited to become the principal flutist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and since then has made her home in Eretz Yisrael. She is joined by pianist Allan Sternfield, a faculty member at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and soprano Amalia Ishak, who is a principal soloist with the New Israeli Opera. Each one of these musicians has such a rare command of his individual instrument, yet they are able to blend together to create magnificent musical conversations.

"Featured on the recording are pieces which highlight each performer separately and pieces that weave their collective talents together. Several of the works featured were composed especially for the Trio - the title track "If I Forget Thee, O Jerusalem" and the hauntingly beautiful "Pictures from the Private Collection of G-d." The production is of the highest quality and each piece is performed with sensitivity and the perfect color to reflect mood and lyrics. In addition to works that may be new to many of us, are also favorites like "Numi, Numi" and "Avraham Avinu." If your musical tastes lean toward classical, this recording is a must for your listening collection."
